Have you ever seen a movie that is so bad that you can't turn it off? It's kind of like a car accident. You can't look away. Out of all the movies on Netflix Canada, most of them are good. However, if you dig deep enough, you can find some movies that make you question how they made it past the cutting room floor. Well, Only Mine is the newest thriller on Netflix Canada, and it's so bad that you won't want to stop watching.
I personally love a thriller. They're my favourite movies to watch aside from 2000's romcoms. But some thrillers are more like comedies, as the plot doesn't make sense or the acting is worse than it is in Twilight. In Only Mine, all of that comes to play.
In the description on Netflix Canada, it says, "After dating a charming cop who turns into an obsessive stalker, a small-town girl must save herself from his deadly ways." And while this seems like a good storyline, the acting is so cheesy that you'll forget you're watching a thriller.
It's kind of a classic storyline, actually. Girl meets boy at her work place, in this case it's at a diner. Girl falls in love with boy, boy isn't who he says he is, etc. But who can resist a love story that sounds like every other love story? The movie does get a little intense at points, when the music is super dramatic and the lighting is dark.
Only Mine has no rating on Google or Rotten Tomatoes, but that may be because it was just released. If you want a lighthearted movie movie to watch, this may not be it, but it will give you a few laughs. You can watch the trailer for Only Mine below.
