There's a Heaven on Earth, and it's right here in Georgia. Dawsonville is home to a sunflower sanctuary where you can encounter thousands of these heartwarming flowers in one place. Fausett Farms, the ultimate sunflower field in Georgia, is only a few weeks away from opening day in September. If you've never been to a sunflower field, these little rays of sunshine are the perfect cure to sadness. Seeing their bright yellow petals grow toward the sun will inspire you to do the same.

The middle of the summer is usually the peak of sunflower season, but this hidden gem of a farm gives visitors the chance to revel in sunflower glory this fall. This family-owned farm has already planted the flowers and it's only a matter of time before they bloom into their full potential.

By the time the fields open, you'll be in sheer shock at the number of sunflowers. You'll quite literally be in a sea of sunshine, as there are 900,000 flowers A.K.A. 900,000 reasons to smile.

Not only is this a marvel of nature, but it's also the most picturesque location for a photoshoot. Bring your best top model faces and $35 to be able to have a photoshoot here. Fausett Farms is the second most Instagrammed location in Georgia, so you have to go to see what the hype is about.

When you're done marveling at the flowers, you can take a ride on the mule-drawn wagon or grab a bite to eat (we hear they have killer BBQ). If you want to take a souvenir for the road, there are sunflowers and honey for sale.

The projected opening day is Sept. 14, so start planning the perfect outfit to complement the flowers. Your pup is even welcome to join you, as long as they're on a leash.

Once the opening day comes around, Fausett Farms will be open everyday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., so you have seven chances to plan a road trip to this wonderland. For only $5 per person (instead of its originally price, $10 per car), this trip is too good to pass up.

Sunflower season is still here, ladies and gentlemen!
