This Bridge Will Take You To A Magical Ocean-Treehouse In Washington

Romantic outdoor shower + endless ocean views! 😍
This Secluded Island Treehouse In Washington Comes With Endless Ocean Views

As kids, spending our summers in rickety treehouses was probably one of our favorite things to do. But looks like adulthood has its perks too: You can rent this treehouse in Washington that's not only nestled on an island cliff but is literally sitting on the ocean!

Narcity may receive a portion of sales if you purchase something from this article, which was created independently by Narcity's editorial team just for you.

Located on Lopez Island, one of Evergreen State's San Juan isles, the Hilltop Treehouse Retreat sits majestically on a platform suspended between two massive Douglas Firs.

What makes it even more magical is the fact that you've to cross a private, suspended rope bridge to get there!

Good for three guests, you can book a night at this spot for $249 — that's only $83 if you decide to split with friends.

According to the website, it was named in the Top 10 Airbnb U.S. treehouses, and we can see why. Once inside this cozy abode, the living area oozes rustic charm.

Celtic designs are carved into the woodwork, slabs of trees double as counters and the desk, and antique boxes for storage only add to the charm.

You'll probably be fighting over who gets to sleep on the queen-sized bed in the loft.

There's not only a skylight above the bed in this room, but the stained-glass windows actually open to views of fabulous sunsets across the water and over Shaw Island!

The couch in the living area pulls out into an extra bed and thanks to its high cathedral-like ceilings, a fancy chandelier, and windows on all sides to let in natural light, this is the perfect spot to relax as well.

This retreat comes with WiFi access too, so you can cozy up with Netflix 'n' chill in the night.

There's also a built-in desk, made from a slab of Douglas fir and a chair by the window overlooking the ocean if you want to kick back with a book.

Since treehouses are naturally fire-hazard prone, there are no stoves at this spot. Its galley kitchen, however, does come with a fridge and microwave, cooking basics and cutlery.

Welcome snacks and breakfast are included at this spot and you'll want to take it out to the ocean-side deck to elevate your meal's experience.

Whether or not you spot the owls or bald eagles, you're sure to be in the company of a family of friendly hummingbirds.

Although there's a tiny bathroom inside the house, you can also get close to nature at the private outdoor shower with hot water.

We doubt you'll want to step out of this romantic hideout, but if you do, the property is bordered by the Upright Head Preserve, a 26-acre wonderland of trails and mossy, ocean overlooks too.

As the hosts say, this place is for grown-ups who seek peace and adventure. And we couldn't agree more.
