As the days get longer and bluer skies beckon, we know the promise of spring is right around the corner in the Pacific Northwest. If you're looking for the best fields to u-pick flowers, this Sequim lavender farm in Washington should be on the top of your list.

Nestled in the Olympic Peninsula's scenic Dungeness Valley, the Purple Haze Lavender Farm is home to seven acres of breezy organic lavender fields.

Starting late June through August, the meadows are in full bloom, so you can pick the pretty purple flowers right off the farm! Dogs are allowed on a leash, so your pup can get some violet therapy too.

Flower-lovers are provided with a tiny set of scissors, a 7-inch twist tie, and a pretty basket. The best part? While it's completely free to enter and explore, whatever bundle you can fit in the tie will only cost you $5.

We're guessing we'll need more than two arms.

Mike Reichner, the president of the operation told Narcity that u-pick is a pretty popular pastime on the farm and it started out in 1996. "We believe at that time we were the only lavender farm in the country to do this," he notes.

If you're a fan of the aromatic shrub, you're in for a treat. There's also a store on the estate that's open from May through September.

Here, you can indulge in everything from salad dressing and their award-winning Herbs de Provence mustard to spritzers, lotions, and essential oils that'll have you relaxed for days.

You can get scoops of tasty lavender ice cream from this spot while you unplug from the world and stroll away too.

There are also pre-cut bundles of the blooms if you'd rather spend time exploring the farm than snipping your own.

The farm also holds an event called the Purple Haze Daze as part of Sequim's popular Lavender Festival. You can enjoy a spring date night with live music, gourmet food and drinks, creative vendors and of course, rows upon rows of "scentsational" lavender.

This has got us dreaming of summer if you ask us!
