Just situated in the center of Oak Creek Canyon is an incredible sight. There's a swimming hole in Arizona that has a natural rock water slide. Along the water, there's an abundance of greenery and red rock and natural wildlife making it a wanderers paradise.

Slide Rock State Park is a 43-acre apple farm located in Sedona, Arizona. There you can swim, fish, or hike. The Pendley Homestead Trail has views of the original apple orchards, apple packing barn, cabins and more. Since the park is open year-round it's best to check the weather and plan accordingly.

This natural rock slide is 80 feet long and the sandstone it's made of is really slippery. Prices vary throughout the year, it depends on whether you're going during the hot or cold months. During summertime, prices start at $20 per vehicle, and from Oct. - Feb. it's only $10 per vehicle.

You can bring your pets with you if they remain on a leash, they just aren't allowed in the swimming area. Fishing is also an option! Just upstream you can fish for brown and rainbow trout.

Parking here is limited and can be tricky to find, so plan ahead. If the water is a bit cold for swimming you can escape to one of the 15 picnic areas.

Sometimes we are in a rush to start the fun that we forget some essentials at home. You won't need to worry though because there is a market at the park that sells sunscreen, snacks, water and more!

Starting Sept. 3, the park is open from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. until Oct. 31. Hours vary depending on the season. You can find more information here
