The tiny house trend is hot across the country right now, and the outdoor-loving Evergreen State is reveling in it. If you've ever searched for a 'tiny house village in Seattle,' you're in luck. The Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth where we prost at and wander around ogling at holiday lights has the cutest community only two hours outside the city.
Located on the grounds of the Thousand Trails RV Resort, this village comes with five tiny houses that you can rent throughout the year for a price of $129 to $149 per night.
The fun-sized homes may only be 180 to 300 square feet, but they make up for their size with their personalities. — Painted in a rainbow of colors, the petite retreats also have cute names like Belle, Adeline, Hanna, Rudolf, and Otto.
Each rental sleeps between two and five people, comes with a queen or twin bed, a full bathroom, kitchen, linens, and kitchenware. There's also a TV if you want to catch up on your shows or plug a holiday movie on.
None of these properties allow dogs, so your furry friend will have to stay home.
Many travelers have also noted that the campgrounds come with other great amenities as well.
You can play mini-golf, volleyball, sit by the fire pit and roast some s'mores, share a scenic meal at the picnic tables or go for a swim in the pool on the grounds to elevate your vacay.
If you want to rest and recharge, this is your spot. But if getting out-and-about is your thing, there's plenty to do too.
During summer, you can go fishing, rafting or tubing on Alpine Trout Lake and Otter Pond which are both located on the campsite.
In winter, you and your friends can go snowshoeing, sledding or skiing in the Plain Valley Nordic Trails which is outside the grounds.
The shores of gorgeous Lake Wenatchee is also just a couple of minutes away to soak in an added dose of nature.
Leavenworth is also only a 17-mile drive from this spot.
Here, you can hit up the town to throw back some beer and wines, ogle at the many kinds of baked German goodies, visit boutique shops with curious little items or cuddle some reindeer!
While you sit back and take in the alpine hamlets nestled between tall firs and pretty lakes with a perfect backdrop of the Cascade Mountains, you can plan a trip to all of Washington's magical towns.
But one thing's for sure. You'll feel never want to go back home again.
