Three prisoners are on the run in Alberta after escaping through a window at the Red Deer Remand Centre. The RCMP were alerted just after midnight this morning and came rushing to the scene, where they were told that four prisoners broke a window and took off.

The RCMP managed to capture one escapee, but three other prisoners are still on the loose. Red Deer Police Service Dogs are being used to hunt them down.

Update: The escapees have been identified as:

26 year old Quinn Russel Peterson,
26 year old Dallas Albert Rain, and
52 year old Douglas Brian Power. #reddeer #RCMP

The RCMP are saying they're doing everything they can to locate the escaped prisoners, and are reaching out to the community for help and information. Police have also released their names and photos to the public.

The escapees are 26-year-old Quinn Russel Peterson, 26-year-old Dallas Albert Rain, and 52-year-old Douglas Brian Power. The RCMP says that the prisoners have violent histories, and warn people to call 911 instead of approaching them directly.

Police believe that Dallas Rain may be returning to the O'Chiese First Nation reserve in Alberta.  "We’re going to follow up for example and work with all jurisdictions around Central Alberta to see if we can locate the missing three,” an RCMP Corporal told the media earlier today.
