Tim Hortons Is Opening A New Store In Ireland And Irish People Are Obsessing Over It

Canadians may have fallen out of love with Tim Hortons, but it seems that everyone else around the world still holds the iconic brand in high regard.
After a series of successful expansions in various European cities like Glasgow and Madrid, the Canadian coffee and donut chain is ready to open its first-ever restaurant in Northern Ireland. On May 25, Irish people will head over to Fountain Street in Belfast, where they'll be able to get their first taste of Tim Bits and iced cappuccinos.
"We are thrilled to be bringing our famous brewed coffee, baked goods and freshly-prepared food to the people of Belfast," said Kevin Hydes, the chief finance and commercial officer for Tim Hortons UK. "Following the success of our recent openings in Scotland, Wales and in England, we can't wait to bring a taste of Canada to Northern Ireland."
The new Belfast store will give out line-up prizes on opening day in true Canadian fashion, offering the first 100 customers to a free lunch. The very first person to enter through the doors will also get free Tim Hortons coffee for an entire year.
As expected, Irish people are obsessing over the new Tim Hortons:
