Toronto Police Just Released The Identity Of The Second Victim Of The Danforth Shooting

After releasing the name of the 18-year old victim

Toronto Police just released the identity of the second victim from the Danforth shooting, after two people died as after being shot on Sunday.

If you're not familiar, late on July 22, 29-year-old Faisan Hassain unleashed terror on Toronto's Greektown district. He injured 13 innocent people and killed three, including himself.

The two other victims included an 18-year old girl already identified as Reese Fallon. The latest development is the identity of Julianna Kozis, the 10-year old victim from Markham Ontario, that has been revealed. 

During this terrible time of loss, the Kozis family has requested that their privacy is respected.

Fallon was the first victim identified by the police and had reportedly dreamed about becoming a mental health nurse after high school. She was planning on attending McMaster University in Hamilton persuing nursing this fall. 

It was reported that Hassain had struggled with mental illness his whole life before the shooting on Sunday, which resulted in his death also.

The investigation is still ongoing but Toronto city councillors voted in favour of urging provincial and federal governments to ban the sale of handguns and ammunition in Toronto on Tuesday.

Here's hoping the city can take strides in correcting what has lead to such a terrible tragedy.
