It's that time of year again! It feels like it was just yesterday when Canada's only NBA team, the Toronto Raptors took home their first-ever championship win. Technically, the win came just a few months ago, but with a new season about to begin, it's time for the Raptors to prove themselves all over again. The whole world saw just how hyped Canada got during the finals earlier this year, and the hype is continuing on into the new year. Toronto Raptor's first regular-season game is being cheered on by Lilly Singh.

Throughout the NBA finals, plenty of Canadian celebrities made sure that their support for the Raptors was heard loud and proud, whether they were sitting courtside like Drake, or cheering on via social media like Ryan Reynolds.

One celebrity who has always been an avid fan of the team is Ontario's own Lilly Singh. Despite having a ton on her plate right now (her YouTube channel, her late-night show A Little Late with Lilly Singh, and always travelling for work), Singh was sure to let her boys back home know that'd she'd be cheering them on, even if she couldn't physically be at the game to let her voice be heard.

Just this afternoon, Singh took to her Instagram story to show off that she was repping a Raptors t-shirt, as well as a super fresh pair of Raptors socks. The comedian captioned the video, "go @raptors! supporting the North from California today". She also added the song "We Are the Champions" to the video, casually reminding people about the Larry O'Brien that we took home.

Talk about some serious dedication - Singh had just returned from her trip to India hours before and was already super eager to cheer on the Raptors and encourage her 9.1 million followers to do the same, from across the continent, nonetheless.

If you want to join Singh in cheering on the Raptors, their first regular-season game kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The team will be facing the New Orleans Pelicans at home in Toronto's Scotiabank Arena.

If you happen to be in the 6ix, but don't want to splurge on tickets to the game, here's a list of downtown bars where you can grab a drink and check it out. Go Raptors!
