These Celebs Were So Excited About The Raptor's Home Opener In Toronto Last Night

Some even got Championship rings themselves!
Toronto Raptor's Home Opener Was Supported By So Many Celebs

It's hard to believe, but it's been four months since The 6ix experienced one of the best moments they've ever had. Torontonians gathered in the streets to celebrate their first-ever NBA championship win. Most people who came out to celebrate had never experienced this much joy in the city since they were born after the Blue Jays win in 1995. It was a day of victory, pride, and just overall love for Toronto. Now, the cities basketball team is back in action and more than just Toronto got involved. The Toronto Raptor's home opener was supported by so many celebs

Basketball is probably the sport most supported by celebs here in Canada and because of that, the whole country becomes more unified. The official ambassador of the Raptors is Drake after all. Before their home opener yesterday, the Raptors received their championship rings and were congratulated on home territory once again. Fans gathered outside of Scotiabank Arena to see everything unfold, while some of Canada's most elite celebs showed their support on social media.

Drake

No surprise here! Drake was one of the first to show his support of the basketball team by revealing his customized Raptor's Champions ring. While he wasn't in Toronto last night (he was partying with Rihanna in LA), he did share with us the up-close details of the ring.

It's worth $150 000 dollars.

Lilly Singh

Lilly Singh is also a huge Raptor's fan! She usually attends multiple games per season and even made appearances at events held during the championships last season. While it's hard for her to make the trip up to Toronto now due to her new talk show, she still made sure she was supporting all the way from America.

She posted a video on her story where a Raptor's shirt and dancing to "We Are The Champions." She captioned the video, "Go @Raptors. Supporting from North Carolina Today."

Giacomo Gianniotti

Giacomo Gianniotti is another Toronto native who endlessly supports every sports team. He's constantly at Toronto Maple Leafs Games, Blue Jays Games, and Raptors. While he was filming Grey's Anatomy last season he even supported the Raptors at their games in California!

To get ready for the game last night he reposted the Raptor's Championship ring on his story and added a "We The North" gif and the caption, "Oh Boy. We're Back."

Nav Bhatia

Nav Bhatia is potentially the most iconic Canadian to ever live. He became famous by supporting the Raptors courtside at every single game. He is also an ambassador of the Raptors and dedicated an entire Instagram speech to the team ahead of last night's game:

‪"I don’t know how to put this in words. Thank you to the greatest organization in sports for how much they care about their fans. I accept this championship ring on behalf of every #Raptors fan across the globe. Words do not express what this means to me. ‬Thank you for making my dreams come true with a championship. This I never in a million years imagined. The craftsmanship @baronchampionshiprings has put into these is incredible. "
