12 TV Commercials Every Torontonian Knows All Too Well

A few months ago, I came out with an article entitled 7 TV Commercials From The 90's Every Canadian Knows All Too Well, which featured iconic PSAs from the good ol' days. From house hippos and "don't you put it in your mouth" to African Lion Safari and Aidan cutting his sister in half again, commercials have proven their uncanny ability to get stuck in our heads and stay there for a very, very long time.

Some commercials have lasted the test of time, more so than those 90's PSAs. For the most part, it's their jingles that make them so recognizable. Here are # iconic TV commercials every Torontonian knows all too well:

Gurkiran Kaur Sidhu announced her pregnancy on August 12 with her husband NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, and she told Narcity about her pregnancy so far and what she thinks about having more children in the future.

Sidhu, a 31-year-old entrepreneur and fashion designer, spoke about the challenges of her first trimester of pregnancy, from nausea to keeping it a secret and normalizing conversations around miscarriage.

Fasten your seatbelts, Ontario drivers: your commute down Highway 427 is about to get a lot faster.

Ontario announced that it's opening up a 10-kilometre expansion of Highway 427 this Saturday, September 18. The expansion will stretch from Finch Avenue to Major Mackenzie Drive in order to help with traffic flow and minimize congestion.

People In Durham Are Now Required To Track Any & All Visitors Or Risk Facing A Hefty Fine

If you don't keep a list of your guests' info, you could potentially get in trouble.

If you're planning on having some friends over and you're living in the Durham Region (which is anywhere from Pickering to Whitby) there are some new rules that you now need to follow.

As of September 11 at 12:01 a.m., anyone who hosts a social gathering in the area — from homeowners, tenants and owners to business operators — must conduct contract tracing of everyone who comes over. This means having a complete list of names and contact information of everyone who comes over (no matter how old they are) and holding onto that information for at least a month.
