14 New Patios In Toronto To Check Out This Summer

One of the best things about summer is patio season and currently, it's in full swing. There are plenty of new outdoor additions to the patio scene that are worth checking out in Toronto. All these patios vary in style and sizes but they have one thing in common, they make summer so much more exciting.

Patios on rooftops,  backyard patios, pool bars, all season patios - Toronto has it all. Here's a list of new patios in Toronto you should complete by the end of summer, whether you're  looking for a place to go eat, have post-work drinks or party all night long:

1. LAVELLE // 627 King St.W

One of North America’s longest rooftop pools is positioned on the 16,000 sq. ft patio of LAVELLE restaurant and pool bar. Enjoy the spectacular patio at this resto-lounge that overlooks the C.N Tower and Toronto's skyline, while eating delicious French cuisine and drinking refreshing beverages.

2. Fring's //  455 King St.W

The Fring's backyard style patio is super chic and vibrant. The Asian flare resto collaboration between Drake and Toronto's famous Chef Susur Lee has been a huge success and is most definitely one of Toronto's hot spots of 2016.

3. Cactus Club Cafe  // 77 Adelaide St.W

The Cactus Club rooftop patio has a fully retractable roof and heaters set up because it is an all season patio. Also known as their "Deck", the spacious patio offers a full service menu and private booths are available to continue your night of fun.

4. JaBistro  // 222 Richmond St W.

Toronto's newest, chic upmarket Japanese restaurant completely renovated their patio for this summer. It seats 100 people and has a full service menu for lunch and dinner, but does not take reservations. JaBistro has a minimalist, zen-like style to it and is very cozy during the evening with the hanging lights.

5. Bar Hop Brew Co. // 137 Peter St.

The spacious rooftop patio at Bar Hop Brew Co. can seat over 100 people. They offer 36 beers on tap, 100 types of bottled beer and plenty of ciders on tap toto accommodate your thirst. Mark Cutrara leads the kitchen with a full service menu to enjoy on their Beer Garden patio.

6. Colette Grand Café // 550 Wellington St W. 

This French bistro looks like a chic summerhouse. Sip on a glass of champagne paired with fresh oysters on the outdoor terrace on a nice sunny day. You're guaranteed to have a fabulous dining experience whether you choose to go for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch.

7. Bugigatollo Kitchen // 54 Fraser Ave

Bugigatollo is a small authentic Italian restaurant located in Liberty Village. Their patio only fits 25 people which creates a very cozy and private-like environment for all guests to enjoy. You have to try their mouth watering home made pizza, it is by far one of the best in Toronto.

8. Chabrol // 90 Yorkville Ave.

This petite French bistro is located in Yorkville, as we all know Toronto's most upscale neighbourhood. They have a 36 seat patio available for reservations and walk-ins to enjoy for lunch or dinner.

9. Campechano // 504 Adelaide St.W

Campechano Taqueria has a laid back atmosphere on their patio. Stop by for a taco night, try their delicious guacamole, sip on margaritas and perhaps take some tequila shots while lounging on their patio.

10. Bandit Brewery // 2125 Dundas St.W

The West-end brewery is located at Dundas and Roncesville. Their patio is very much like a beer garden with plenty of picnic tables set up to enjoy their craft beers and shareable plates.

11. Belfast Love // 548 King St W.

Belfast Love is a new addition to the King Street west community. The Irish styled pub has a spacious 100 seater patio to eat delicious food and have some beers. It's a very trendy place that attracts a young crowd and can get very busy during the day and night.

12. Raca Café & Bar // 1704 Queen St.W

The design at Raca Cafe & Bar has a twist of Bali to it. The patio is very peaceful and relaxing, setting the perfect ambiance for post-work drinks. You'll find a couple of buddhas hanging out in the outdoor area and mural designs which add a lot of harmony to the environment.

13. The Addisons Residence // 456 Wellington St.W

Everyone knows the Addisons throw the best parties and this summer, they sure took it to their stunning backyard. The Beverly Hills styled patio is full of entertainment with live music and outdoor games such as life-size jenga, Connect Four, beenie bag toss and much more. There is plenty of seating space, with cabanas and picnic tables to enjoy delicious BBQ food and crafted cocktails during the day and night.

Early Mercy is a trendy lounge-bar that can be perfect for post work drinks or a night of fun. Their patio faces the busy streets of King West and is set up with high top tables, available for casual drinks, food truck snacks and bottle service.
