15 Super Cute Cafes You Need To Visit In Hamilton

Realistically, it's about time I showed Hamilton some love.  Seeing as there are so many adorable and super delicious coffee shops constantly popping up all over the city, this list was almost begging to be written.

For those of you who have also come to terms with their caffeine addiction, I have made the perfect list that will enable you to embrace all types of cold brews, dark roast, and lattes.

So, feel free to hit up a few of these awesome spots, and DM me any places I may have missed.  :)

1. Mulberry Street Coffee // 193 James St N.

The Mulberry Street Cafe is a place I hold near and dear to my heart.  This spot is super spacious, making it the perfect place to spread out and get some homework done or find a secluded booth for a little more privacy.  Their cold brew is amazing, and also slightly addictive.

2. Pinecone Coffee // 175 John St S.

Pinecone has mastered the art of minimal decor.  From the adorable "liquid sunshine" lettering, to the aesthetically pleasing marble tables, this place basically begs you to take the ultimate Instagram post.

3. Cafe Augusta  // 156 James St S.

I stumbled across Cafe Augusta not too long ago while waiting for a table to open up at Mezcal.  I was pleasantly surprised by the bright decor and super yummy iced latte!  I'd definitely recommend going here if you're in the area.

4. Vintage Coffee Roasters // 977 King St E.

Vintage Coffee Roasters is the perfect place to get your morning dose of caffeine!  The staff are super friendly and extremely patient with indecisive customers (like myself).

5. Durand Coffee // 142 Charlton Ave W.

Durand Coffee has some crazy good Autumnal treats.  They team up with Donut monster on the regular, so you'll easily find something sweet to accompany your dark roast!

6. Cannon Coffee Co. // 179 Ottawa St N.

Yes, Cannon's coffee is amazing.  But, can we take a moment to appreciate the masterpiece that they call a "waffle"?! This is probably the most mouthwatering thing I have witnessed in a while, and I'm making a mental note to eat this ASAP.

7. Smalls Coffee // 8 Cannon Street E.

Smalls is such an adorable little coffee shop hidden away in Hamilton.  They have also hosted a few cute events that really bring the community together, like their block parties!  Be sure to hit up their FB page for more info.

8. Saint James Espresso Bar & Eatery // 170 James St N.

Saint James is definitely a Hamilton favourite. This spot is ideal for a cozy brunch, or just a coffee before heading to work! Their avocado toast is a must try.

9. Ark + Anchor Espresso Bar // 300 King St W.

This spot is the ideal location for a study date.  The tables are spacious, and there are a bunch of outlets for you to plug in your laptop.  Plus, their coffee is also insanely delicious!

10. Detour Coffee Roasters // 41 King St W.

Yes, this is technically a Dundas coffee shop, but it is 100% worth the drive. The main reason why they are appearing on this list is their goat cheese and bacon scone.  This scone changed my life, and I don't think I will ever be able to eat any other scone without being disappointed.  And no, I'm not being dramatic.  ;)

11. Cafe Oranje // 312 King St E.

Cafe Oranje serves up some amazing locally roasted coffee.  They also offer affordable lunch entrees for those of you looking for a little something extra!

12. Relay Coffee Roasters // 590 Concession St.

Relay Coffee Roasters has some of the friendliest staff in the city!  I love sitting out on their patio, although their decor inside is also super charming.

13. 541 Eatery + Exchange // 541 Barton St E.

Technically 541 Eatery is more of a restaurant than a coffee shop, but it still needs to make an appearance on this list!  I love the atmosphere in this place, it always seems to lift up my mood.  If you're looking for an ideal spot to catch up with an old friend over a cup of coffee, this is it!

14. Finch on Locke // 129 Locke St S.

Finch on Locke has one of the most underrated patios in the Hamilton.  This adorable little cafe serves up some of the best espresso in the city and I highly recommend you try it!

15. Democracy Coffee House // 202 Locke St S.

Democracy is a super cool spot on Locke.  They have tons of board games for you to play while your order is being placed, or for you and your friends to play on a rainy afternoon.

Honourable Mention:Tamp Coffee Co. // 2049 Pine St,  Burlington

Yep, I'm mentioning Tamp. This is my hometown favorite, and I couldn't not include it on the list. Their fruit smoothies are awesome, and so are the iced lattes!
