If you’re a fan of new films and celeb spotting, you’re more than likely aware that the Toronto International Film Festival is on in the city starting this Thursday, Setepmber 6th.

To help make sure that everyone who goes down to the festival has a great time, the city is allowing certain bars to stay open for a couple of hours longer than usual.

Nearly 30 bars in Toronto have been given permission by the city to stay open much later than usual during the festival.

A large handful of participating bars around the area of the city where the festival is taking place are extending their last call until 4:00 a.m. during the festival.

This is welcome news for anyone who is looking for more opportunities to run into a movie star or two while they get a drink before or after seeing a movie.
