TTC Service Alerts have confirmed that the closure of Bloor-Yonge to Union station has been lifted.  

There have been numerous reports of bomb threats across the United States and now Canada today. Just minutes ago, Ottawa Police confirmed that they're investigating 10 reports of bomb threats throughout the city. Now, CP24 is reporting that King Street Subway station was just evacuated after a bomb threat was received, according to Toronto Police.

The TTC has closed off service between Bloor-Yonge and Union station due to police activity on the property, according to the TTC Service Alerts. TTC users are encouraged to detour along the College, Dundas & Queen streetcar routes while this closure is in effect.

King station was cleared shortly after 3:30 PM today when a bomb threat was received and guests were evacuated before service was shut down. Customers are unable to use the subway services both North and South bound as police investigate the issue.

Along with King station, Bloor-Yonge, Wellesley, College, Dundas, Queen and Union Station were also shut down.  

Toronto Police also reached out about the bomb threat via Twitter at 3:32 PM. today.

A number of institutions have received bomb threats today, including Ottawa earlier this morning when multiple people received bomb threats via e-mail while demanding a bitcoin payment. It is unclear if these incidents are related.

Since then, TTC Service Alerts have announced that servicehas resumed within these stations both North and Southbound and that the police activity has been resolved. 

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Toronto Police.
