Winter may not be the season you think of when you hear the word farms. You head to farms in the summer to pick berries or in the fall to pick apples and pumpkins, but what can you pick at farms in the winter? Well, there are two types of winter farms in Ontario that are totally worth it for your next day trip.

Head over to some of the adorable Christmas tree farms to cut down your very own trees for the holiday season or visit a sugar shack that harvests their very own maple syrup!

Both of these farms offer unique activities that are both super fun and totally Canadian. No need to buy your Christmas trees or maple syrup from the local Loblaws, get the real experience this season!
