Millennials are often associated with being lazy, which is not the case. These 8 young people from Ontario are absolutely killing it in their fields, and working their asses off to reach the top!
This list is to celebrate those around us who are succeeding and inspiring others. Each of these 8 individuals are getting us one step closer to a more realistic portrayal of a millennial.

1. Pryde
Pryde AKA Russell Llantino is a Missisuaga rapper who started pursuing his rapping career at the age of 14, when he posted his first track on Youtube. Since then Pryde has become somewhat of a GTA celeb. Pryde is now signed to an underground record label Mars Music Group. In 2011 he toured around Canada alongside J. Cole and most recently he featured on a new single "Uptempo".
2. Rupi Kaur
Rupi Kaur is an Indian immigrant, now based in Toronto Canada. Rupi is a young feminist who has inspired woman around the world with her poetry. Her most recent book "Milk and Honey" has definitely put her on the map as a young writer, and we cannot wait for what she has coming up next! Rupi's poetry deals with womanhood, loss, heartbreak, healing and so much more, be sure to check out her book.
3. Jamal Burger
Jamal, AKAjayscaleon Instagram is an extremely successful Torontophotographer that has gone on to work with many huge brands like American Express, Budweiser, LG Canada, Nike, Timbuk2, Livestock and Hypebeast. Jamal now dominates social media with his incredible landscapes, rooftop and portrait pictures. Be sure to follow him here and support a fellow Torontonian.
4. The Sorry Girls
Becky Wright and Kelsey MacDermaid started their Youtube channel "The Sorry Girls" in 2010. In 6 short years they have built an empire of over 560 000 subscribers from all around the world. The girls mostly focus on DIY and lifestyle videos, and have recently launched their own website. These two young women reside in Toronto where they are continuing to grow their channel and provide on-trend DIYS for others to recreate.
5. Yanal Dhailieh
Yanal Dhailieh is the founder of the Peace Collective clothing company. The Peace Collective is best known for their "Toronto vs. Everybody" apparel. Within the past two years Peace Collective has given Torontonians an outlet to brag about their city, in a stylish way. The best part is, with each purchase of a Peace Collective item $4 is donated to Breakfast for Learning and helps to feed children!

6. Isabelle Rezazadeh
Isabelle, also known as Rezz is a rising EDM star from Niagara Ontario. She most recently performed at Ever After Festival in Kitchener Ontario, and will be making an appearance at Echo Beach with Zeds Dead. Rezz is known for receiving a lot of support on TRC, and is extremely interactive with her fans.
7. Morgan Smith
Morgan Smith is a 29 year-old professional skateboarder. His sponsors include Blind, DC, Venture, Small, Helas, Blue Tile Lounge Skate Shop. The Toronto-born skater received his first skateboard at the age of 6, and has not stopped riding since.
8. Wear Your Label
Kayley and Kyle are the individuals behind the fashion line "Wear your Label". These two are working to break the stigma surrounding mental health through their fashion line. Wear Your Label aims to spark conversations about mental health through the print on their t-shirts. 10% of profits are donated to mental health initiatives!
