Every year Coburg hosts an annual event called Christmas Magic where they display magical lights along their waterfront! It's one of the most beautiful spots to see Christmas lights in the province and it's the perfect excuse for a getaway from the city. There's tons of cute bed and breakfasts to stay overnight and explore as well!
Head over to Simcoe, Ontario to get your Christmas fix this season! Every year they host an event called the Simcoe Christmas Panorama where they set up 60 dazzling light displays throughout the downtown area. The lights transform the city into a real-life winter wonderland and they even have horse-drawn carriage rides on the weekends!
Niagara-On-The-Lake is probably the most magical town in Ontario, no matter what season it is. But I think we can all agree that it becomes extra magical during those, snowy winter months. You can take a horse-drawn carriage through the streets, wander past the lit up store windows, and get cozy by the fire at one of their adorable hotels or bed and breakfasts!
Running from November 30th until January 8th this year is Burlington's annual Festival of Lights! The Burlington waterfront will be lit up with magnificent light installations that you definitely need to experience this holiday season. It's a truly magical event that will get you in the mood for the holidays in no time!
Every year Kingston, Ontario hosts a magical winter festival called Lumina Borealis. There will be tons of stunning installations throughout a one-kilometre trail along the waterfront that will take you through magical forests, warm fire pits, and immersive winter displays. It usually runs from the beginning of December until mid-February!

Every year Upper Canada Village transforms into a literal winter wonderland for the holidays during their annual Alight at Night event. The entire town is decorated with almost one million shimmering lights on the trees, fences, historic buildings, and so much more! You can also book romantic horse-drawn carriage rides and overnight stays with their hotel packages.
Every year the Blue Mountain Village hosts a holiday event called Jingles & Joy that's all about the magical Christmas spirit! There will be a one-kilometre trail of lights to explore, fireworks at night, fire pits for roasting marshmallows, horse-drawn carriage rides, and adorable shops decorated to the nines! You can also go for a night ski on the slopes.
Niagara Falls may be mainly a summer destination but it truly comes alive during the winter months when it transforms into a winter wonderland! Starting November 3rd and running until January 31st is their Winter Festival of Lights that will completely take over the city. Wander down the streets and see tons of unreal lights installations, fireworks, and take part in other fun events happening throughout the city.
