8 Places To Pregame If You Live Outside Of Toronto

Toronto has a lot to offer, especially when it comes to nightlife.   There is a good chance that a lot of the people you meet at Toronto clubs, are not actually from the city!

Many people come to Toronto from all over the GTA for an awesome night out. But commuting comes with consequences.  Preing becomes a whole lot harder when you have to take longer forms of transit, or rely on Go train times.

We have compiled a list of places 8 to pregrame around the GTA, that will hopefully help you out for your next night out in Toronto. Enjoy!

Jackson's Landing // Burlington

Jackson's landing rooftop patio is the perfect place to get tipsy on Sangria before heading to Toronto. It's a 3 minute Uber/cab ride from the appleby go station, so it won't cost you much at all!

The Pump// Mississauga

Pump has an extensive drink menu, and wonderful appetizers. Plus it's only a 7 min walk to Porte Credit Go station, no need for a cab tonight!

Dirty Martini // Oakville

This is a great spot if you're more into a "club vibe". You won't have to worry about feeling awkward in your your dress and heals at this pregame destination. Their drinks are good, the crowd is always lively, and it's an 8 minute Uber/taxi ride to the go station!

The Owl and Firkin // Markham

This place has some super comfortable patio furniture, and very tasty mix drinks. This is a prime location for getting a little tipsy before the jays game with a large group of friends!

Ontario's Vaccine Passport Can Be Saved On Your Phone & Here's How I Did It In 5 Minutes

A new tool lets you store your vaccine certificate as an image, a PDF file, or as a card in your Apple Wallet.

Starting Wednesday, September 22, Ontarians are expected to show their proof of vaxx to enter certain non-essential businesses and settings. However, because enhanced vaccine certificates with QR codes won't come into effect in the province until October 22, a team of volunteer software engineers and medical professionals created a tool that lets you store your proof of vaccination on your phone with a QR code.

"No personal data is sent to the internet. [The] QR code is for verification only, with no personal info," the team behind the tool told CTV News.
