We all know reality TV shows are anything but real. But when you put diverse personalities together, and set a backdrop of hot city night life then you'll have a show as unpredictable as the TTC. When you're already starting to be called Hollywood North, you know that Toronto would be the perfect stage for any "reality" TV shows that came our way. But with a city as diverse as our how would we ever pick just one? Here's the low down on what "reality" would come out of each of some booming areas of the 6ix.
Note: We love all our wacky neighborhoods and wouldn't want them to be any other way.
1. Rosedale - Real House Wives of Rosedale
It's the perfect scene. During a classy cocktail party in the mansion of the next Toronto Film Star cocktails are thrown on desinger dresses and TV crews burst in. Hidden in the mansions of midtown we know there's more scenes like this waiting to happen.
2. Kensington - Hoarding, Buried Alive
Kensington is easily one of the most eclectic and happening places in the city. The amazing mix of Vintage Clothing stores, hole in the wall cafes and diverse food options means your options are literally never ending for what you can buy. It can also be a little overwhelming to walk in to a vintage store and find a tutu on your left and leather bondage on your right; either way we know we still love it and can't get enough.
3. Beaches - Jersey Shore
GTL am I right? With easy access to the shores of Lake Ontario and the volleyball scene drawing in some serious eye candy, the beaches is the perfect place for a the next Snooki to emerge. Though the boutiques and amazing dining options make it a little more classy than the classic shore we all hate to love but love to hate.
4. Markham - Jon and Kate Plus Eight
We know the only reason to leave the six so all those young ones have more room to grow. The suburbs of Markham means it's crawling with families, hopefully ones that will have more luck than this couple!
5. Lawerence Park - Botched
Are you smiling at me or totally unamused, I can't tell. Hidden behind the walls of Benz's and fresh pressed juicers please let us know if you find an unaltered face here.
6. Queen West - Project Runway
Even though more big name brands like Aritzia and Zara have emerged on this artistic strip, it defiantly hasn't lost it's fashion visionaries (or at least aspiring). You would defiantly be able to find contestants to handle their own with all the fashion outlets they have access too.
7. Yonge and Eglinton - The Bachelor
With condos being built faster than you can claim to be in Drake's entourage, this transit hub is one of the hottest spots for millennial living on their own for the first time. The real question is whose getting the rose?
8. King Street - Rich Kids of Instagram
It's all about likes over love in the hub of people living up their "perfect" lives. How convenient for a "reality" show.
