A Canadian Woman Was Deported And Arrested After Slapping A U.S. Border Agent
Most of us know that travelling, whether across the world or just across the country, can come with a large amount of stress. From planning, accommodation, and actually getting where you need to go, going on a trip is not always a vacation.

One Canadian woman dealt with quite the experience when crossing the border earlier this month and ultimately she could face jail time because of it. After being denied access to America, a 40-year old Kitchener Ontario resident ended up slapping a border agent across the face.
Tianna McPherson was crossing Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, Ontario to head into Niagara Falls, New York state on September 2nd when she faced some trouble. Of course, crossing the border can be tricky when you have a bad track record from the previous crossings, which McPherson did.

After the United States Department of Justice released information about the altercation that followed. While McPherson wanted to explore the Niagara Falls State Park on the American side, she was denied entry and told to head back to Canada. That's when things took a turn for the worse.
McPherson started arguing with the Border Control agents stating that she did not want to go back to Canada and that she was actually a U.S. citizen, but refused to give any information to prove that was true.

She then demanded to go see an American judge, making a break for it through the lobby of the building. When an agent put herself in the way of the exit, McPherson asked her, "what if I just punch you in the face?"
McPherson was told to sit down before declaring that she wanted a criminal charge and proceeded to slap the border agent across the face with an open hand. Upon slapping the agent, the Canadian woman was put in a holding cell.

For now, McPherson will be held in the U.S. to go before the court on September 13 for a detention hearing.
She was charged by criminal complaint with assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer of the United States, which can carry an eight-years in jail and a fine of $250,000.
