Toronto Got A Super Cute Outdoor Christmas Bar

It’s what grown-up holiday dreams are made of.
Toronto Got A Super Cute Outdoor Christmas Bar

Now that December is finally here, no one can say it's too early to listen to Christmas music anymore! It's also time to put up lights, wreaths and mistletoe, and we are lucky enough to live in a city that hosts a variety of cool events where you can shop for the perfect Christmas decorations, and have a ton of fun doing so!

Ever wanted to pick out your very own Christmas tree while sipping on a festive holiday cocktail? Well, now is your chance! On December 5-6, Bacardí is hosting Holidega, a seriously cool pop-up event featuring an urban tree market and rum bar. It’s all happening right in the heart of King West at Brassaii's outdoor terrace and admission is free!

For all you condo dwellers living downtown, you probably know the struggle of finding a real fir tree that can fit inside your tiny Toronto condo. But not to worry—Bacardí Holidega is offering an awesome festive solution with their pop-up Christmas tree lot, where you can pick out your own apartment-sized tree for $10 or a taller evergreen for $20 (cash only; while supplies last). Your tree can even be wrapped up especially for you once it's ready to take home!

While you browse for your very own tree, why not stroll the lot with a festive cocktail (or two) in hand? Attendees are invited to sample premium Bacardí Gran Reserva holiday cocktails including the Hot Toddy, Eggnog, and Gingerberry Punch at the Holidega rum bar. Did we mention that the cocktails samples are all free? Seriously guys, it does not get any better than this!

If you needed one more reason to go, Bacardí Holidega is being held for an amazing cause. Cash proceeds from tree sales will be donated to Toronto-based food rescue and charity, Second Harvest, which is all the more reason to be merry for a good cause.

And since it’s the season of giving, we thought we’d share with you the recipe for a delicious Bacardí Hot Toddy (you'll for sure be craving this festive cocktail when you’re at home decorating your new mini tree).

2 parts Bacardí 8 Años

1 part Unfiltered Apple Juice

0.75 parts Cinnamon Syrup

0.5 parts Lemon Juice

Method: Batch all ingredients together, heat up and serve into a coffee mug. Garnish with 2 thin apple slices and cloves.

Be sure to stop by the Bacardí Holidega next week (trust us, you do not want to miss out)!

Here's a rundown of all the details:

When: December 5th (6-9 PM) and December 6th (11AM-9PM)

Where: Brassaii Restaurant and Lounge (Outdoor Terrace), 461 King Street West.

Admission: Free event. Cash only for Christmas tree sales (and only while quantities last).

Don't forget to follow Bacardí Canada on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram for updates about the event and more!
