A Magical 1.1 KM Mountaintop Skating Trail Is Opening At The Top Of Blue Mountain

If there's one spot Ontarians visit the most in the winter months, it's probably Blue Mountain. Whether you like to ski, snowboard, or snowshoe, Blue Mountain is the place to go because of the amazing snowy hills ski village and their adorable ski village.

But this year there's one more reason to go up to Blue Mountain and that's their Woodview Mountaintop Skating Trail! It opened for the first time last January and it was a huge hit so they're opening again to the public for the 2018/19 winter season!

The Woodview Mountaintop Skating Trail is a 1.1 Km trail through the forest that allows you to skate at the top of a snowy Blue Mountain this winter! You'll have stunning views of the Niagara Escarpment as you skate and once you're done you can sit back and relax with a warm hot chocolate.

Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights throughout the season from 6-8pm it will be illuminated by tons of firelit tiki torches lining the trail for a truly magical and snowy evening! They're officially opening back up for the winter season on November 30 and we seriously cannot wait!

When you get to the skate trail, you can choose to pay for 2-hour loop admission or 2-hour loop admission with skate rentals depending on whether you need to rent equipment. For just the 2 hour loop it costs $13 for youth and $16 for adults. The 2-hour loop plus the skate rentals cost $19 for youth and $22 for adults.

This is the perfect place to go for an evening or daytime activity during your weekend trip up to Blue Mountain for skiing or you can just come here for a spontaneous day trip and stay for a few hours! It's perfect for any occasion and really is one of the best winter activities out there this season.
