This weekend, Axis Freestyle Academy is opening its much-anticipated indoor ski hill in the Vaughan Mills area.
The 17-foot tall dry slope is the first of its kind in the country. Although there isn't any real snow, it still looks like a whole lot of fun - the slope is covered with a slippery, carpet-like surface that is sprayed with a special solution to give it a similar texture to soft ice. Various ramps and obstacles can be added to the slope for more challenging runs.
The facility has other cool amenities, including a yoga studio, a strength and conditioning area, a viewing balcony, foam pits, trampolines and much more.
With winter rapidly approaching, it's the perfect way to get tune up your ski game before the season arrives.
