Canada's Air Transat has just announced the first direct flights ever between Toronto and Split, Croatia. The new service will commence next summer, so get planning!
Starting on June 20th all the way through to September 12th of 2019, flights will be going between the cities once per week on Thursdays.
Typically, flying from Toronto to Split consists of one to three layovers and travel times range from 11 to 18 hours in duration depending on the amount of stops you have to make. Summer flights can range anywhere from $1,300 to $7,500.
The decision to finally set up direct trips was a no-brainer for Air Transat, as Croatia is quickly becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations for Canadians. Last year, the country saw more than 100,000 Canadian tourists. This was 25 percent more than the year prior.
They are expected to be announcing their full summer plans come mid-October, so check their site then for bookings.
If you just can't wait until next summer, direct flights from Montreal go directly to the Croatian capital of Zagreb on Tuesdays and Sundays.
