Best Vegetarian Spots In Toronto Have Just Been Named

Plant eaters rejoice! OpenTable, the world’s top provider of online restaurant reservations, has released a list of the 50 Best Restaurants for Vegetarians in Canada for 2019. Toronto managed to nab 14 spots on the exclusive list and some of the entries sound absolutely amazing.

In order to find the best places in Canada, OpenTable looked across nine provinces, more than 500,000 verified diner reviews, and over 3,000 Canadian restaurants. 

It’s worth noting that most of these joints aren’t exclusively vegetarian, but when it comes to the green stuff, they really know how to make non-meat eaters feel at home.

360 The Restaurant at the CN Tower 

360 The Restaurant at the CN Tower is probably one of Toronto's more well-known establishments. On top of the fact that it is located hundreds of metres in the sky, it also features unforgettable market-fresh vegetarian cuisine. Try the Spinach and Ricotta Tortelloni. You won't be disappointed.


At Byblos, you get the best of both worlds. It is a restaurant that combines Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with strong influences from local ingredients. The Eggplant Kibbeh is a non-meat eater's dream.

Cluny Bistro & Boulangerie

Who doesn't love a good French bistro? Cluny offers you a modern take on the classic concept, and it's got plenty of wiggle room for those who prefer food of the plant variety. Go all-in on the Eggs in Purgatory.

District Eatery

If you want to satisfy your cravings while staying healthy, then the District Eatery is your jam. It offers plenty of delicious plant-based options that are so tasty you won't even know it's good for you. They have Broccoli Tacos, enough said.

Diwan at the Aga Khan Museum

This restaurant combines its stunning view of Aga Khan Park with unbeatable Middle Eastern, and North African-inspired dishes. If you like to pretend that you're an aristocrat in the 19th century while you eat fancy food, then this place will make your dreams come true.

Earls Kitchen + Bar - King Street

This is where the casual and classy hang out to have a few drinks while dining on delicious vegetarian options. Go for the Green Dragon Roll and never look back.

El Catrin

El Catrin menu was personally created by one of Mexico City's top chefs. It is designed to give customers a little taste of everything. Take the Hortaliza for a spin; it's got everything your green heart desires.


Hello123 is a plant-based restaurant and bar whose vegetarian dishes, atmosphere, and impeccable service have been swooning customers ever since it opened. Their Smashed Avacodo Burger is where it's at.


Mythology's menu was put together by award-winning Chef Doug McNish, who has genuinely taken vegan dining to the next level. It's a spot for great intimate dinners and late-night cocktails.

O&B Canteen

O&B Canteen honours it's iconic location with the TIFF Bell Lightbox by supplying delicious, simple recipes using fresh ingredients. The Southeast Asian Tomato Salad is the healthy lunch you've always deserved.


If you've ever wondered what a vegan Mexican restaurant would taste like, then Rosalinda is where you should start. It's vibrant, got a feel-good atmosphere, and its Young Coconut Ceviche is one of the best dishes in Toronto's downtown core.

Storm Crow Manor

If your interests include binge-watching Star Wars and launching Dungeon and Dragons campaigns while keeping it plant-based, this place is your home base. Its Chickpea Fries are out of this world.
