Canada's Wonderland Has A Virtual Fireworks Display So You Can Celebrate From Home

Why not start Victoria Day weekend with a bang? While you may not be able to throw any big parties or hang out at your favourite bar, you can still take part in this attraction's massive firework display from home. Canada's Wonderland's virtual fireworks will fill your holiday weekend with colour.
Grab some popcorn and lawn chairs and tune into this online fireworks extravaganza.
Usually, this weekend would be the unofficial kickoff of summer for Canada's Wonderland.
Every year, the amusement park hosts a huge fireworks display that illuminates the sky for miles.
Each show has a unique design, and you can witness over 6,000 bright explosions during the 30-minute show.
The spectacle usually takes over 375 hours to design and install.
This year, the annual show has been cancelled and the park is remaining closed indefinitely, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the colourful light display.
Canada's Wonderland is encouraging people to tune into its virtual fireworks show, which was posted on social media yesterday.
"...Since we can’t host our big #firework show this weekend, we’ll give you the next best thing. Set this up at home and view an exciting excerpt of our show!" the Instagram post reads.
The show features a six-minute video taken at the 2019 display. You can watch as the massive rollercoasters are illuminated by colourful explosions in the sky.
You can view the video through YouTube or the virtual fireworks homepage on the park's website.
Before watching the show, why not hop on a few rides as well? Canada's Wonderland also has virtual rollercoaster rides that you can enjoy from the comfort of your couch.
If you're feeling fancy, you can cook up your own funnel cake with the park's iconic recipe.
Cozy up and tune into this colourful show to start your long weekend off with a bang.
