What is better than bringing in the holiday season with a tree lighting and firework show? On November 30, join in on the holiday fun at the Cavalcade of Lights Toronto at Nathan Phillips Square. Get your hat and mitts ready, because the holiday season is well and truly alive in the 6ix.
You can take part in the annual celebration that will feature the lighting of Toronto’s 50-foot Christmas tree, live musical performances, circus arts, a DJ skating party, and an amazing fireworks show.
The most awesome thing about the enchanting event? It's absolutely free to attend.
You can also score some awesome holiday pictures to add to your collection.
The 53rd annual event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-show skating party to the musical stylings of DJ MelBoogie.
At around 8 p.m., the Christmas tree lighting gets underway. Although Nathan Phillips Square might be packed, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the 50-foot tree light up to welcome the wintery season.
The stunning fireworks show then launches at around 9:30 p.m., lighting up the night sky with the magic of Christmas spirit.
The night will end off with another skating party with DJ MelBoogie to celebrate the special occasion.
There will also be musical performances by artist Riit and a concert by Lemon Bucket Orkestra.
This is far from the only winter event kicking off in Ontario this weekend, though. In fact you're about to be spoiled for choice.
Ontario's Alight At Night Festival opens up this weekend in Ottawa so if you can't join the fun in Toronto, Ottawa has got you covered.
The CNE will also be hosting the Aurora Winter festival if you're looking to join in on more Christmas fun.
If you can't make it to this event, don't worry. Toronto's official Christmas tree will remain lit every evening during this season.
So head on down this Saturday for a truly illuminating time!
