Another Huge Toronto Organization Just Joined Friday's Chick-Fil-A #CluckOff Protest

A Toronto-based LGBTQ+ support organization has just announced they'll be joining in on the Chick-Fil-A Toronto protest at the restaurant's grand opening. The 519 will participate alongside Liberation T.O to protest the opening of the new restaurant at Yonge and Bloor. The American chick chain's first Canadian location will open its doors this Friday, Sept. 6.
The 519 listed the details in a Facebook post on Wednesday night, inviting community members and allies to meet at their location as they will head out together to protest.

Signs will be made at 519 Church Street at 9:30 a.m. in order to leave for the protest site at 10:00 a.m. There they will protest until 10:30 a.m.
They listed their reasoning behind the protest in a lengthy post.
Narcity has reached out to Chick-fil-A about how they plan to respond to the planned protest. We will update the story once we hear back.
With the hashtag #CluckOff, people on Twitter are pledging to join the 519 in protest.

"Many have refused to allow Chick-fil-A locate within their spaces and have protested against them. Toronto and Canada needs to be next in line," reads one post.
You can expect to find long line ups as the day goes on as this is the first Chick-fil-A to open in Canada.
