The victim from Monday's horrific murder outside a Hamilton, Ontario high school has been identified as 14-year-old Devan Selvey. Police say he was stabbed in the back of the head while walking to his mother's car at around 1:30 p.m. Police would not overtly comment on whether bullying was a factor, but they do believe that there was "some element of pre-planning."Two more suspects were arrested yesterday in connection to the homicide. Both are 16 years old and remain unnamed. We do know that of the two more arrested, one is female and the other is male. A total of four are in custody right now, and two have already been charged with first-degree murder, CP24 reports. The two charged are males ages 14 and 18, and their names are under a court-ordered publication ban.The family has started a GoFundMe page to cover the funeral costs. His sister, Karissa Selvey, wrote on the page that "Devan tried to get help for the bullying he was experiencing." Police are not saying much about the bullying factor in this case as it is still an ongoing investigation.
“At this point, I can tell you that we are satisfied based on evidence that there is some element of pre-planning… and premeditation to this homicide,” Det.-Sgt. Steve Bereziuk told CP24 in a statement about the case on Tuesday, October 9.
