Drake’s OVO Is Hosting Workshops For Young Canadians This Summer

Drake's lifestyle brand October's Very Own (OVO) and RBC have announced their partnership to launch the OVO Summit to the Canadian public. The Drake OVO workshops will invite Canadian creative and lifestyle entrepreneurs seeking career growth opportunities to hone their skills and create a lasting impact in their industry. Maybe even Drake himself will be there to talk about how to make it big in Canada's entertainment space!

The OVO Summit is an "immersive, educational conference "that is designed to teach young people about opportunities and challenges of the arts and entertainment industries, according to a source from RBC.

The conference will include a series of seminars to help emerging entrepreneurs stand out in the competitive Canadian entertainment landscape. It promises one-of-a-kind offers, exclusive access, experiences, and creative content which captures the backstory of the rise of the iconic OVO brand.

"By convening Canadians with different backgrounds, skill sets, talents and aspirations, OVO Summit celebrates the potential of the next generation," says Matt McGlynn of RBC.

The co-founder of OVO, Oliver El-Khatib, emphasized that the summit appeals to all different types of entrepreneurs. "Whether you're an athlete, student, artist, or a globally-recognized institution like OVO or RBC, one thing we all have in common is we're always chasing new ideas and information to help us on our path to success."

"OVO Summit is our chance to curate a relevant educational experience for all the like-minded, driven young Canadians who are passionate about careers in music, sports, arts, and entertainment."

Tickets to OVO Summit will be available for purchase starting June 24th, 2019. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 2nd, 2019.

El-Khatib reported to Forbes on OVO's collaboration with RBC, "Drake is synonymous with the OVO brand, but the body of work created under the owl logo over the past decade represents Drake, myself and Noah’s collaborative efforts.  I think it’s brilliant for RBC to find the gap and acknowledge that there are just as many young people aspiring to be entrepreneurs as there are wanting to be artists."
