There is something so fun about watching a movie at a retro drive-in theatre. These old-school theatres make for a fun evening activity with your BFF or a cute date spot. Do you want to experience going to a drive-in theatre? If so you should visit Stardust, a drive-in theatre near Toronto that will be showing blockbuster movies all summer!
If you've never experienced a drive-in theatre, you are seriously missing out! They are a fantastic way to watch a movie, because unlike a regular movie theatre you have more space to stretch out and can talk to your friends without disturbing anyone around you.
One of the best parts about going to a drive-in theatre is the fact you can bring blankets and pillows and get super cozy. If you happen to have a truck or a spacious SUV, you are in luck, as you can have enough room to lay down under the blankets while you watch the movies. Or if you want you can bring lawn chairs and watch outside under blankets instead.
Stardust Drive-in is in Sharon, Ontario, which is 45 minutes away from Toronto. The theatre is open seven days a week during the summer. Each night they have three different movie screens that show two different films back to back.
This summer they are screening all new movies. For example, currently, they are playing movies still in theatres like Aladdin, John Wick 3, and Men In Black: International.
Another big perk about going to Stardust Drive-in is your admission ticket lets you see both movies playing on the screen you pick. So if you visit on Thursdays, you can pay a flat $20.00 fee for everyone in your car to see two movies. It's an incredible deal!
Stardust Drive-in suggests that you show up 1 hour before the movie on Friday and Saturdays, and 30-45 minutes before the film on Sunday to Thursdays to get the best viewing spots. Tickets can only be purchased on-site at the box office.
