Toronto has seen a huge surge of stores finally making their way to our city over the last year: Simons, H&M Home, Saks, and now there's one more.
Eataly is set to launch it's first Canadian store in Toronto sometime next year!
For those of you who aren't sure what Eataly is, it's essentially a massive upscale store/food hall that sells anything and everything Italian (aka everything freaking delicious). From freshly made tagliatelle to the largest assortment of cheese you will ever need, this place is a foodie's heaven.
We will no longer have to make a trip to NYC or Chicago to visit the global Italian food hall. This megastore is a result of a partnership with the Weston family (think Holt Renfrew, Shoppers Drug Mart, Lobaw) and Oscar Farinetti, Eataly's founder. He confirmed that "it's coming for sure", while speaking at the American Universtiy of Rome.
There is no set location yet but Yorkville is one rumoured spot for the store to pop up.
We're excited. Salute!
