Bianca Andreescu Is Coming Back To Toronto Next Week & You Can Actually Meet Her

If you aren’t feeling those Christmas vibes yet, brace yourself, because they are coming. The Eaton Centre’s iconic 108-feet tall Christmas tree is set to be lit on Thursday, November 14th, marking the shopping hub’s fourth tree lighting event and the unofficial kick-off to Toronto’s holiday madness. According to a Cadillac Fairview press release, the company is aiming to make this year’s Eaton Centre Christmas Tree Lightning Ceremony its best yet by bringing in Bianca Andreescu to help ring in the Christmas-time event.
On top of featuring Canada’s favourite tennis superstar, the ceremony will also so feature live music from electric violinist Dr. Draw and DJ 4KORNERS. So, you can enjoy some jams while basking in the glory of the almighty grand slam champion.
Did we mention that you can get your picture taken with her? Oh, yes, my friend, the event is promoting “photo opportunities” with Bianca, which means fans finally get their chance to grab a quick snap with the tennis icon.
According to Newswire, Bianca is expected to arrive at the Eaton Centre by 5:30 p.m. However, the official tree lighting won’t be happening until 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. It's possible that the 19-year-old celeb may be taking pictures with fans for an hour before the ceremony.
And if you’re like me and avoid the Eaton Centre at all cost during the holiday season, but still enjoy a good tree lighting, you can head over to one CF’s other five Tree Lighting events. A second GTA lighting celebration will take place at CF Markville on Friday.
"Our goal at Cadillac Fairview is to create memorable and share-worthy holiday experiences for our community," said Sheila Jennings, General Manager, CF Toronto Eaton Centre.
"This year, we're taking our tree lighting tradition to new heights, where we'll leverage the power of the community to come together and light the tree with new interactive elements. We can't wait to meet you there," she added.
