If you're all about those Raptors' bromances, this one might just take a cake. Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry gushed about each other on Thursday night in the wake of the 33-year-old's 6th all-star announcement. Lowry's inclusion in this year's competition could've been a mostly private victory. However, that's not really how Toronto rolls.
VanVleet, who won't be taking part in this year's all-star game, heaped praise at Lowry for the accomplishment. The 25-year-old also opened up his personal relationship with the NBA star, saying that he was like a "big brother" to him.
"I take a lot from what he's done. It's kind of like that big brother, little brother thing where I get to see him go through his whole career and study him and see where he went wrong and where he went right and try to take bits and pieces and add them to my life and what I need to do. A lot of what I do comes from him. It's my job to take what he did and try to take it to the next level," VanVleet told NBA.com
The Raptors rookie, who famously went undrafted during the 2016 draft, also described sharing a court with Lowry as "basketball heaven." I mean, if that isn't true love, I don't know what is.

Lowry, of course, was equally as warm to VanVleet telling the Toronto Sun's Ryan Wolstat "He'll be an all-star one day."
The long-time Raptor also took the time to reflect on what the accomplishment means.

"I wouldn't be here without my teammates and without the coaches, without my friends and family," Lowry said on Thursday.
"These guys literally let me go out there and lead them. I love leading them. I love being a teammate to them. These guys are one of one. They're all great, every last one of them is great."
VanVleet's relationship with Pascal Siakam has also been something of a highlight for Toronto fans this season.
The two, who have been labelled a "dynamic duo" for the team, built a strong relationship with each other during their time playing for the Raptors 905.
