Shoeless Joe's just announced some exciting news for Raptors fans! The sports bar chain will be throwing a party on Thursday, Sept. 19 with Toronto Raptor Fred VanVleet at Shoeless Joe's Vaughan location. The Fred VanVleet Toronto party is a ticketed event, so get yours soon if you'd like to mingle with number 23! DJ Danny D from Z103.5 will be live mixing the tunes for your listening pleasure.
Narcity spoke with the Shoeless Joe's Vaughan location and they confirmed that visitors will be getting a "swag bag" stuffed with things like an autographed picture or other good stuff. Plus tons of tasty munchies, of course. Items in the swag bags will vary.
The event goes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 21 Colossus Drive in Vaughan, Ontario. The store manager confirmed with Narcity that they will have tables set up for people to sit and that Fred will come around and chat with everyone there. The restaurant will be closed to non-ticket holders.
The restaurant itself looks pretty cute too.
You can get tickets to Fred VanVleet's Shoeless Joe's party here. They are $75, but for a true Raptors fan it seems totally worth it. They currently have about 250 tickets listed for this, so get yours quick!

It looks like Toronto isn't ready to restore its pre-pandemic summer plans. On Friday, the City of Toronto announced that they're extending the cancellation of all city-run, in-person events up until the end of Labour Day weekend on September 6.
This includes events like the Caribbean Carnival and the CNE, which announced in February that it hoped to reopen for Torontonians this summer.
Mayor John Tory tweeted that he's working with the CNE to help them come up with a "bigger and better in-person event in 2022."
The City said that the aim of this announcement is to make it easier for organizers to predict what will happen with their events this summer. Their statement includes a list of all 24 major events that are cancelled, many of which will take place virtually for the second year in a row.
