Toronto's New Arcade Bar Opens This Week & You Can Play Unlimited Retro Games For FREE

It's the '80s throwback you didn't know you needed.

This brand new Toronto bar is a retro gamer's paradise. You can play unlimited old school games while munching on some delicious snacks and drinking a nice cold beer at the grand opening of Freeplay Arcade Toronto this week. With so much to see and do, we're willing to bet it'll become your new go-to hang out spot.

Freeplay Arcade officially opens its doors on College Street this Thursday, January 9 and tickets are on sale now for the big event.

This retro-themed bar has over 50 classic arcade games and console video games for those gaming fanatics who are ready to ditch the basement and game in a more social way.

It is fully equipped with old-school arcade machines, table sports, pinball machines, and a lot more.

There's also a giant Jenga set and some nostalgic VHS movies to make you feel like a kid again.

Beyond the games, there will be live DJ music and a dancefloor just waiting for you to bust a move.

When it comes to the goodies and drinks, this place has 20 beers on tap alongside Ontario craft brews and themed cocktails. There's also a candy bar and a bunch of throwback snacks.

Check out their list of beers and other drinks, you will not be disappointed.

You can never go wrong with a good cocktail, especially when it's '80s-themed.

Their menu also includes mini Pogos, mac 'n' cheese wedges, calamari, slushies, floats, and a whole lot more.

They even have what they claim are the best Jamaican Patties in the 6ix.

Their tables are painted to resemble classic '80s games and memorabilia.

Toronto has been on a retro wave, with even the Raptors sporting the classic '95 look, there's no doubt that retro is in full swing.

By the looks of it, this new bar could even be added to the list of bars that can spice up your nights if you're tired of the same old same old in Toronto.

Tickets are now on Eventbrite for the 19+ event, costing $10 for advance guest list tickets and $15 at the door.

Doors open at 4 p.m. and festivities start right at 7 p.m. There will be door prizes, free swag, and a performance by Canadian rapper, Choclair.
