High Park Is Hosting Haunted Ghost Walks After Dark This October

If you’re looking for a scare this Halloween, skip the horror movies and head over to High Park instead for a real haunted experience.

Every year, haunted ghost walksare held at the park in the black of night. Brave participants make their through the allegedly haunted grounds and are told eerie stories of paranormal events that were reported in the past. The haunted ghost walks are a perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit without having to go out of the city.

High Park has a known history of ghostly activity. Sites like the Colborne Lodge and Grenadier Pond are said to be haunted by several ghosts and apparitions, and many past visitors have reported abhorrent sightings at both locations. The reports entail everything from bleeding spectral riders to encounters with pockets of strong negative energy. Such accounts are further elaborated to participants during the haunted ghost walk.

The event description for Haunted High Park is as follows:

“Explore the grounds of High Park after dark and discover the chilling legends and ghostly tales that have been spooking visitors for decades. Discover Victorian funeral and mourning traditions inside the candlelit rooms of historic Colborne Lodge and see what goes creak in the night. Spooky refreshments included. New this year – each haunted walk will be enhanced with a Victorian Séance presented by Doc Wuthergloom of award winning Eldritch Theatre. $32.50 plus tax. Teens 13 to 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.”
