Ikea Restaurants Are Coming So You Can Have Meatballs Whenever You Want

Anyone who says they haven't made the trip to IKEA just for the food truly doesn't know what they're missing. Between the Swedish meatballs, 99c hot dogs and mashed potatoes, dinner at IKEA is truly a life changing experience.

IKEA has (finally) realized the good thing they have going, because they just announced they are beginning the steps to create stand-alone restaurant.

According to a report by Fast Company, 30% of IKEA restaurant-goers come just for the food. The restaurants are so successful that IKEA food alone raked in $1.8 billion in sales for 2016.

While there's no official word yet on where (or when) we'll be able to see these restaurants, Fast Company reports that they plan on starting with cafe-style restaurants in city centres.

Here's hoping for one in downtown Toronto!
