Despite getting married to Hailey Baldwin just last month, Justin Bieber has proved that he’s never too busy for his first love: The Toronto Maple Leafs. Taking to Instagram to share several pictures of the Maple Leafs’ 4-1 win against the San Jose Sharks on Friday, Justin Bieber’s Maple Leafs photos show he will always be the ultimate fanboy.
Since the Leafs played on Friday evening, Bieber has taken to Instagram to upload not one, not two, but FOUR separate photos of the hockey game, which he went to watch with his dad, Jeremy Bieber, on a "dad and son date".
If his excessive Instagram uploading didn’t prove how much Bieber loves the Toronto team, his seats behind the Maple Leafs’ bench and his “Matthews” jersey certainly do! In addition to the photos, Bieber also shared clips of the game to his Instagram stories, zooming in on Toronto's coach, Mike Babcock.
It seems that the love Bieber has for the Leafs is mutual, as his smiling face was featured on camera many times during the broadcast. When Toronto forward Morgan Rielly scored the go-ahead goal, Bieber’s excited reaction was priceless.
Earlier this year, Bieber and Baldwin came under fire after their appearance at a Maple Leafs game in April allegedly “cursed” the Toronto hockey team, causing them to lose 4-2 to the Boston Bruins. Fans speculated that it was Bieber’s appearance that inspired the team’s loss, with some calling it “the new Drake curse.”
Fortunately for Justin Bieber, the Maple Leafs secured a comfortable 4-1 win during their game against San Jose Sharks on Friday, meaning he was clear from any suggestion that a loss could be his fault!
Keeping up with his Auston Matthews stan, Justin Bieber shared another post-game picture to Instagram, adding the caption, “The goat,” presumably in reference to Matthews’ excellent goal during Friday night’s game.
Despite being one of the world’s biggest celebrities, it’s pretty nice to see Justin Bieber just hanging out at a Toronto Maple Leafs game with his dad. Keepin’ it Canadian, eh?
