In a campaign to keep Kawhi Leonard in Toronto, an investment company is offering to pay Kawhi Leonard's 5-year salary in Toronto in advance if he decides to re-sign with the Raptors, Bardown reports. A financial investments firm based in Toronto called Blockstation, which specializes in digital asset management, has announced that the company is willing to "make Kawhi the best offer yet" by arranging to pay his salary up front. Clearly, the city is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Kawhi in TO!
Blockstation's movement to encourage Kawhi to re-sign with the Raptors involves some community engagement. Blockstation is asking the city of Toronto to "create a movement of 50K hashtags: #KaWhiWait", with reference to him not needing to wait for his salary (if he re-signs, of course). From there, Blockstation will send Kawhi a detailed proposal, along with a report showing fans' support.
Blockstation is even asking Drake and Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia for support. Teamwork really does make the dream work!

The creativity of the incentives to keep Kawhi in Toronto is truly impressive. The Raptors Republic, an international Toronto Raptors fan association, has recently introduced the Ka'wine & Dine Initiative.
The initiative enables restaurants around the city to print a badge that will be displayed in their window, indicating that Kawhi can eat free food for life in that establishment if he decides to re-sign with Toronto. Among the local restaurants that have joined the Ka'Wine & Dine Initiative are Bar Hop Bar, Le Sélect Bistro, Moo Frites, and Rodney's Oyster House.
But that's not all. Kawhi was also gifted a multi-million-dollar penthouse in downtown Toronto if the player agrees to re-sign with the Raptors. The penthouse was offered by Simon Mass, CEO of The Condo Store Realty Inc. If Kawhi re-signs, he will get to choose between several lavish penthouse condos at the Four Seasons, St. Regis or Carlton Residences in Toronto, courtesy of the brokerage.
The pro basketball player was even offered free Kraft Dinner for life should he sign with the Raptors. That would be enough incentive for me right there (if only not for the lack of athletic ability).
Come on, Kawhi. Give the people of Toronto what they want and RE-SIGN WITH THE RAPTORS.
