Raptors Fans Actually Think The Clippers Are Forcing Kawhi To Do "Awkward" Promos (VIDEO)

It’s no secret that Toronto Raptors fans fell in love with Kawhi Leonard during his time in the 6ix. The top player captured the attention of the city during the team’s NBA Finals run. We offered him everything from free food to condos in hopes that he would sign back on with the franchise after making us champions.
Sadly, Kawhi ditched us back in July for the L.A. Clippers after the team acquired both Oklahoma’s Paul George and Kawhi in one swoop.
All we have left of the Leonard era are the memories. Thankfully, Kawhi spent much of his time in Toronto, creating memorable moments both on and off the court.
His laugh will never be forgotten, nor will his buzzer-beater shot that changed how the basketball world saw the Raptors. However, with Kawhi now sporting blue, it only makes sense that the Clippers would try to capitalize on some of his natural charm. Of course, it's also no surprise that Raptors fans would have something to say about it.
The L.A. franchise recently released a video of the NBA Finals MVP saying the catchphrase “it’s a make or miss league baybee.”
The brief clip shows a seemingly uncomfortable Kawhi doing his best to get through the promo and Raptors fans were quick to attack the segment for being unauthentic.

“That should stay in Toronto with fun guy and the Larry O.B. Clippers stop trying so hard damn,” wrote one user while knocking the team’s effort to showcase Leonard.
“This was a Toronto thing. Y'all just forcing him to do this goofy shit after it was already played out,” wrote another.

It was revealed earlier this year that Kawhi would be making his way back to the Scotiabank Arena on December 11. So, let’s hope that the city gets a few more hilarious moments out of the player during his much-anticipated return.
