Toronto is probably the best place to spend summer... or winter, or fall, or any season, actually. We've got tons of awesome things going down any day of the year, and there's nowhere else in the world that's like us.

But sometimes, it's really refreshing to just take a quick breather from the city for a weekend. Some place close, beautiful, and (yup) just as awesome as Toronto.

Enter Kingston: a very short trip (less than 3 hours) from Toronto, Kingston kind of feels like a really fun summertime escape. They have awesome food,  a glorious water-front, a thriving art scene, and lots more fun things to discover - including some pretty unique and amazing festivals.

Just like the Back To The Farm Music Festival which is sure to turn your summer into something that you'll remember forever.

The Back To The Farm Music Festival is a huge field party going down in Kingston at the MacKinnon Brothers Brewery on August 20. If you love anything to do with craft beer, live music, food trucks, or good vibes (and you know you do), then you're actually going to fall in love with this friendly, lively, vibrant music fest.

Although, really, it's not just your average music fest. The Back To The Farm Music Festival is more a celebration of what summer in Kingston is all about: fun, laid-back times, with quality food, quality drinks, and awesome people.

Speaking of the drinks, the festival is being hosted by the MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company, known for their passion and tasty, locally-produced brews - so you know everything here is going to be absolutely amazing.

In fact, they'll be serving their own craft beer - made on the festival site, with ingredients taken straight from the farm - and craft beer from eight other local Kingston breweries, including King's Town Beer Company and Stone City Ales.

If craft beer isn't your jam, no worries. The Back To The Farm Music Festival will also be serving up cider and wine, from more local vendors.

Not to mention all the food trucks and vendors (over 20 in total, including The Grizzly Grill and Tommy's) that'll be making an especially delicious appearance this year, along with artisan vendors (there's even going to be a fashion truck!) and outdoor games.

Oh, and of course, there'll be tons and tons of live music. The Mahones, Lost Cousins, Needless Love Entertainment, Kris & Dee, Greg Ball, and a whole lot of other super talented artists will be there to bless up your whole summer. This is the best excuse to plan a weekend getaway to Kingston!

The event is all-ages, and shuttle bus services will be available to and from the event for the world's best price: free. (Sidenote: parking is also free, so if you choose to drive there, they've got your back).

This is quite possibly the most fun way to spend a summer day... sipping on good craft beer, sampling delicious food, listening to fantastic live music - what could be better? You can even extend your stay for the weekend and check out some of the other events that are happening in Kingston like CORK, 1000 Islands Poker Run, USMC Joint Ceremonial at Fort Henry, Women's Art Festival and more!
