As Ontarians enter into another week of working from home, many are looking for the ultimate comfort food. Throughout the week, long lineups of cars have been spotted forming outside the Krispy Kreme in Mississsauga. Photos and videos of the company's Heartland Town Centre location have begun popping up on social media to showcase these crazy lines.
While Krispy Kreme is known for its mouth-watering donuts, there's more than just their food that keeps the customers coming.
According to Insauga, the local donut spot has been put into a unique position. It is the only one in Ontario that has kept its drive-through window open during all of the coronavirus craziness.
So, out of all five Krispy Kreme locations in Ontario, it's not that surprising that the Mississauga store is seeing a sudden surge in business.
While other businesses are shutting down, or offering delivery only, this Krispy Kreme has become an easy stop for those who are looking for a late-night snack.
One Twitter user shared photos of the long lines on Monday evening, stating, "I'm in line at Krispy Kreme... We got here at 5:50pm. Let's see how long it takes to get my donuts."

"OMG loook at the lines for krispy kreme. Like how am I supposed to get them cookie donuts," wrote another user.
However, despite the lines, Krispy Kreme states that they are working hard at keeping their store safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have always taken great care regarding our processes and procedures related to food safety, health and hygiene, and sanitation within our stores. Due to COVID-19, we are taking additional actions, including enhanced cleaning and sanitizing procedures and installation of new sanitizer stands,” a statement from Krispy Kreme reads.
“We will continue to do our very best to deliver the joy that is Krispy Kreme during the pandemic while always putting the health and safety of you and our employees first. We will keep you informed of any additional actions. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented and challenging time together,” it adds.
However, Krispy Kreme isn't the only donut shop that is remaining open during the pandemic.
Tim Hortons has just announced that it will also be keeping its doors open and will now be offering mobile pick-up in Canada.
