While there are often too many fortunate people in this world who never think to give back, you can rest assured that Kyle Lowry and his family don’t fit that bill. The Lowry clan spent their thanksgiving helping to distribute food to 200 families as part of the player’s Lowry Love Foundation, who has made it their mission to “touch the lives of the underprivileged and disadvantaged.”
“This Thanksgiving the Lowry Love Foundation was again out in the Toronto community spreading holiday cheer. The Lowrys first visited John Innes Community Centre to distribute food to 200 families. Next, they made their way to the Cabbagetown Youth Centre and served a hot Thanksgiving meal and provided groceries to families, including many who were affected by the fire at 650 Parliament St. this past summer,” read a statement on the organization's website.
This year, the Lowry family provided a total of 250 Thanksgiving meals to families in need. According to Yahoo Sports, the event marks the fourth time that the Raptors star and his family have given back to their community by providing the service. It's obvious Lowry loves Toronto, and it's nice to know that underneath his professional persona is a heart of gold and that the Canadian spirit of helping is rubbing off on him.
This year’s event was a real team effort with both Lowry and his sons spotted handing out food.

It was recently announced that Lowry would get his own bloopers reel in an upcoming film about the Raptors' 2019 NBA Championship win.
The NBA star also recently agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Raptors, which will keep him from entering next year's free-agent market. So, it looks like we got plenty of more Lowry coming on the horizon.
