Lakeshore East GO Train Line Suspended After A Pedestrian Hit By A Train

Toronto's Lakeshore East Go train line is suspended after a pedestrian was struck by a train east of Rouge Hill Station.

Toronto paramedics said they were called to the scene at 6251 Lawrence Avenue East, at 9:42 AM for a report of a pedestrian hit by a train. Police said they located a male's body near the tracks.

All trains on the line have stopped and service through the Rouge Hill part of the line will be disrupted, according to Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins.

GO Transit said trains will likely not be able to pass through the affected area for about two hours.

Updates to follow.
