It's an exciting time for Toronto sport. The Maple Leafs season is well underway, the Raptors' home opener is on the horizon, and Toronto FC is about to begin its own playoff march. And the soccer team will have the support of at least one big-name star in Marc Gasol.

TFC hosts D.C. United at BMO Field on Saturday, October 19 at 6 p.m., and the team is holding a pre-game rally on-site from 3 p.m. The party will include $6 beers, food, music and entertainment, and the chance to win prizes.

And, while the Raptors are preparing for their own big day on Tuesday, the franchise's most soccer-obsessed star will be out to support the Reds. And you can bet he'll be vocal about it, too.

Marc Gasol, a noted soccer fan, will be out and cheering with the masses on BMO's north-end patio, and is likely to bring another dimension to the celebrations.

Gasol certainly knows how to get into the spirit. In fact, he's become something of a highlight of victory parades in recent months.

First, there were his iconic moments at the Raptors' parade through the 6ix back in June, and then there was his repeat performance after his native Spain's FIBA win last month.

Big Spain — or Beer Papi, as he'd now like to be known — seems to be a pretty fun guy when the drinks are flowing, so expect him to be the life of the party again on Saturday.

You probably won't be able to miss Gasol, being the 7-foot-1 giant he is. He'd certainly stand out on the TFC pitch, that's all we know.

And, if you want to be there to a) get your chance of seeing Gasol in the flesh and b) support TFC as they play their first playoff game of the season, we've got good news.

According to Ticketmaster, there are still a range of tickets for tomorrow's game on sale, including some as low-priced as $55 per person.

So get yourself down there for a double dose of Toronto sports!
