A Massive Nike Store Is Opening At Toronto's Yorkdale Next Year & It Couldn't Come Sooner

For Nike and streetwear fans alike, 2020 could be a gamechanger. That's because a huge two-floor Nike flagship store is opening at Toronto's Yorkdale Shopping Centre and it is going to be huge. Niketown Toronto will be opening its doors to the people of Toronto before Christmastime next year.

The Niketown flagship is first for the mall giant, although the sports and clothing retailer did once hold a spot on Bloor Street a couple of years ago which has since closed.

Already having a flagship store in New York City, Niketown will provide an array of services that'll make your shopping experience with Nike a whole lot easier.

Fox already owns several Nike stores across Canada but this will be their biggest in the world.

According to Retail Insider, the Niketown store looks like it'll occupy some of the mall's former Home Outfitters storefront as well as two main-level retail spots.

This flagship is supposedly scheduled to open in November 2020, with a 10-year lease. They also have an option to extend it by five years.

Yorkdale already has a Nike store, and what this means for the future of the current store is unclear at this stage.

An Israel retail fashion chain, Fox-Wizel Ltd. will invest $12 million in opening this new store, with the help of Yorkdale.

The current Niketown store in the USA sells a huge amount of  Nike products and fashion styles as well as tech stuff and gadgets.

Although you won't see anything until next year, at least you can save up before it opens!
