Ontario Is Getting Hit With Another Brutal Snow Storm & Freezing Rain This Week

Beware of a messy commute tonight!
Ontario Snow Storm Will Be Hitting Toronto & Making Your Commute A Nightmare

If you thought you were saved from another blast of winter weather, think again. Toronto and the majority of southern Ontario were hit by a crazy snowstorm earlier this week, and it looks like it's far from over. Although we're still dealing with that extra bit of snow, another taste of Ontario winter weather is about to hit the GTA by this weekend.

Earlier this week, Toronto had its first hit of messy winter weather and it affected drivers so much so that many accidents were reported. Let's hope the end of this week has better results.

According to the Weather Network, an arctic front coming down through Friday will bring along a blast of snow into southern Ontario before it starts to feel like freezing temperatures once again.

Due to a small bit of warmer air making its way through the region, parts of Ontario might actually experience freezing rain or drizzle this morning, according to TWN.

This is more of a risk for the London to Sarnia area and even along the 401 which could result in some slippery roads.

For Friday evening commutes, there will be strong wind gusts that could potentially cause low visibility due to the burst of snow. This could especially affect the 401 east of Toronto, according to TWN.

This week has experienced so much of winter already, the weather outside is truly frightening, as some might say.

It was so cold this week that some cities in Ontario warned people to stay indoors if possible.

But once again, colder temperatures will make their way into this coming weekend. With Friday's weather, temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below average.

Surprisingly, these conditions are closer to that of January which is depressing, to say the least.

If you're planning on going to watch the annual Santa Claus parade downtown, don't worry, temperatures are expected to rise by Sunday.

Just make sure to brace yourself as you go outdoors and remember to bundle up because it's not going to be pretty.
